About the fabrication process
Our fabrication service is fast and reliable – everything is measured, planned and cut to accommodate each customer’s requirements. This easy and simple process prepares your worktops for hassle-free installation.
- There are many different sizes available on the market so please ensure that you have supplied our fabrication team with the correct dimensions. Required tap hole cut-out size tends to be supplied by the tap manufacturer along with installation instructions; if in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for confirmation.
- When you are deciding on the location of your sink and taps, you need to take into account the overhang of the worktop and the thickness of the sink and tap fixings to ensure there is enough clearance left for fitting.
- When calculating your measurements, please take the measurement from the centre of the proposed tap hole cut out.
- To allow for the natural contraction and expansion from our wood worktops, we always cut the tap holes slightly larger than the provided measurements.
Your fabrication order
Ordering tap hole cutouts with us is simple, secure, and swift.
Before we can start, you will need to send us a few details. This is so we can create a quotation based on the supplied information; what timber you have chosen, its size, and details of the service required. A rough sketch or diagram would also be useful.
Our fabrication team will then send through a personalised quotation and to progress the order, you must pay for the timber and the fabrication fees. You can either pay online or by talking to a member of our team on the telephone who will take your card details and authorise the payment. Once payment has been successfully processed we will send you an email with a CAD drawing, a full itemised quotation which includes delivery and the lead time, and all relevant information regarding the service. You must thoroughly check this information and confirm that it is correct via email – until we receive this written confirmation we cannot begin customising your worktop. This is the only document that our team will work from, so it is important that all measurements are accurate.
