These surfaces are hard-wearing and naturally watertight as they are constructed from compressed, layered sections of timber.

Bamboo is an environmentally responsible choice of kitchen worktop. Bamboo is a grass, rather than a tree, and can fully grow in just a few months. This relatively quick speed of growth significantly lowers the environmental impact of bamboo when harvested.

Please note: When cutting your bamboo kitchen worktop to size, you may notice the occasional appearance of small gaps within the exposed cross-section of the cut edge. This is not a manufacturing fault but a natural occurrence due to the bamboo's layered construction. You will find this is easily remedied with a small application of an appropriate filler.
